Speaking a Language

Speaking a language helps to move the words from the back of your mind to the front,  from your ‘slow memory’ to your ‘quick memory.’ Over time, this will improve and you will be able to speak quickly.

When learning the guitar, you can sit down and learn every possible chord.  Until you start strumming those strings and playing the song, do you really learn how to play.

So you can think of it as a fun game. Talking to people in their own language is challenging. Trying to keep up with the speed of the words, is exciting. Nothing beats the good feeling that you get from holding your first 10-minute conversation with someone in English.

Speaking Out Loud

Most English speakers will be happy to help you, they won’t judge you, and just by trying they may see you as a friend.

Being able to speak regularly with someone who you trust and feel comfortable with will encourage you. This can open up new chances to travel, new job prospects, new holidays, and even finding love with other English speaking people could be possible.

Language is a tool for communication. Speaking and listening in the English language will boost your communication skills. Listening and reading out loud can be much better than  a textbook.
